We celebrate the Sacrament of Confession on Saturdays, from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Church.

You can also make an Appointment to receive the Sacrament at the Rectory during Office Hours.

Known by many names (Confession, Reconciliation, Penance) this sacrament is where we find God’s unconditional forgiveness, and as a result we are called to forgive others. We are encouraged to receive the Sacrament of Confession frequently throughout our lifetime so that we can benefit from the graces we obtain through reception of this sacrament.

The steps to Confession are:

  • Examination of Conscience - What have I done?

  • Personal Contrition - Do I truly regret my bad actions?

  • The actual confessing of your sins to God through His priests

  • The assigning of Penance by the priest

  • Act of Contrition

  • Absolution

  • Carrying out your Penance

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and avoid the near occasions of sin. Amen.
